Antes que nada debo contarle que laval y Montreal son 2 ciudades gemelas, son gemelas porque ambas estan ubicadas en dos islas del rio San Lorenzo, dos islas que estan divididas por apenas 100 metros, pero como todos los sabemos, Montreal nacio primero, es la capital economica y la ciudad mas popular y mas grande de toda la provincia de Quebec. El hecho de ser la ciudad mas antigua y mas grande es su principal problema, porque en general la arquitectura de la ciudad es vieja, incluso los edificios nuevos, son viejos, la mayoria de sus calles son estrechas y los edificios de apartamentos, en la mayoria de los casos son apretados y sus fachadas parecen viejas fotos en sepia. Muchos no tienen zonas verdes y de la puerta del edificio a la calle no hay mas que un par de metros. Los edificios estan muy apretados, unos contra otros, o mejor dicho, parecen sandwuishes comprimidos.
